This article will guide you through the different ways you can start collecting by buying art on Artland.
With our unique technology we simplify the search for art that moves you. There are different ways in which you can inquire about works from our partner galleries, both from our website and the app.
"Buy Now," and "Make Offer"
If the price of the artwork is shown, you can directly request to purchase it with the "Buy Now" option. You will be required to provide your contact information.
If you are looking for a way to begin a dialogue with a gallerist in order to negotiate the price, you can propose a discount on the listed retail price with the "Make Offer" option. The gallery can either accept or decline this offer. Here, you will also be required to provide contact information.
Regarding the shipping, if the gallery has previously provided a quotation for the shipping costs or has enabled our shipping service, you will be able to pay for the shipping and the artwork together. If the gallery has not provided a quotation or enabled our shipping service, you will be contacted directly by them.
Regarding the payment, if the gallery is signed up to our direct payment system, you will be redirected to do a credit card payment form after clicking on "Buy Now" or "Make Offer". Please find, here, the article in our Help Center on the buying process via credit card.
Shortly after, you will receive an email from Artland confirming that your information was sent to the gallery. You will normally receive an email reply from the gallery within the next 24 hours confirming your purchase/accepting your offer or providing additional information needed to complete the purchase, such as shipping costs if these were not included.
"Contact Gallery"
When the price is hidden or the gallery prefers a more personal contact, you can click the "Contact Gallery" button to directly message gallery personnel.
You will be required to provide your name, phone number and email address.
Shortly after clicking on "Send", you will receive an email from Artland confirming that your request was sent to the gallery. You will normally receive an email reply from the gallery within the next 24 hours providing the information requested.
"Reserve now"
If you need few days to think about the purchase, you can ask the gallery to put the work on hold for you. Click on "Buy Now", "Make Offer" or "Contact Gallery" and then close the form - the system will show you the following pop-up window
Shortly after clicking on "Send", you will receive an email from Artland confirming that your request was sent to the gallery. You will normally receive an email reply from the gallery within the next 24 hours providing the information requested.
After completing a request, you will be sent follow-up emails from Artland to make sure the communication is going smoothly between you and the gallery. If you should need any assistance, you can always contact the Sales Team by replying to the follow-up email.
We also encourage you to add sales@artland.com in cc whenever you are emailing the gallery, so that the Sales Team will be able to assist you if needed.
