Ensure Authenticity of Artworks

Our partner galleries are carefully selected and international trusted sellers - mutual transparency and collaboration are an integral part of the partnership we develop. However, sales happen as arrangements between the collector and the gallery, which means that you have the responsibility to ensure about the authenticity of the artwork.

In most cases, the artwork's info show if the gallery is providing a certificate of authenticity.

If not, we suggest you ask the gallery for a certificate of authenticity. Artworks should always be accompanied by documents that prove their authenticity. The artist's signature and the provenance of the artwork may also help in determining its authenticity, as well as documented appraisals issued by the artist's foundation or legal guardian (for example, Pest Control for Banksy).

If you are unsure about the authenticity of an artwork you are interested in, please get in touch with us at collectors@artland.com.
