Add a new artist, and remove artists

This guide will walk you through the basics of adding a new artist, and removing artists, in the gallery admin system.

To add an artist to the represented artists attached to your gallery profile you need to click on the edit icon button in the upper right corner.

After you click this button you will be taken to a form page to edit the gallery info. Under the gallery description is a box called ‘Represented artist’ where you will enter the name of the artist you wish to add. It is likely that the name of the artist is already saved to the Artland database.
After typing the name, select the correct match from the drop down choices.

If the artist’s name is not in the database, you can go to the drop down menu on your profile to create a new artist.

Then a form page with boxes will appear where you can add the name, nationality, year of birth (and death year if needed).

You can either write a description of the artist or simply check the auto-generated box that will generate a short biography about your artist.

Removing artists

To remove an artist, click on the edit button in the upper right corner on the gallery profile.

The existing artists’ names will appear in the box ‘Represented artists’ on the form page.
To remove an artist, click the ‘x’ next to the artist’s name.

Always click save after you have made the changes to ensure they appear on your profile.
